While Jeep has begun its green shift with powerful hybrid models, the automaker recently revealed its first-ever 100% electric models. Among them is the Jeep Recon, an adventurous SUV inspired by the Wrangler. Here’s a look at the design and performance expectations of this new Jeep model.
Jeep Recon 2023: An Outdoor-Oriented Design
Let’s face it, the Wrangler’s recipe for success is very popular with outdoor enthusiasts. And one of its key ingredients is the presence of removable doors and a sunroof. The upcoming 2023 Jeep electric will take on these features that made the Wrangler a legend.
As for the design, we also find square shapes reminiscent of that model, but the Recon still has a look of its own. The grille is composed of seven slits with an illuminated outline, and the headlights are rectangular, illuminating in a “U” shape.
Its adventurous look is evident in features like:
- Massive wheels
- Off-road tires
- Skid plates
- Towing hooks
The revealed images also show it with a green body and a contrasting black roof.

“Like a spy on a reconnaissance mission, the all-new Jeep Recon will be able to go on adventures and explore the wilderness in silence.” Guillaume Rivard, The Car Guide
Indeed, the vehicle will likely combine the benefits of a zero-emission vehicle with those of a gasoline-powered Jeep SUV. Jeep’s Selec-Terrain system will be part of the package, as will an electronic locking differential.
More details will be revealed soon, including technical data; consumers will be able to order the new Recon as early as 2023. Stay tuned to Trois Diamants Chrysler, your Jeep dealership in Mascouche, near Highway 640 and Route 337!
