Antonio Filosa takes the helm at Stellantis: A new drive for the automotive future

A new chapter for Stellantis

In August 2025, Stellantis—one of the largest automakers in the world—confirmed the appointment of Antonio Filosa as its new CEO. Officially named on June 23, 2025, and ratified by 99.2% of shareholders during the extraordinary general meeting on July 18, Filosa embodies a new era for the brand. Known for his international expertise and strategic vision, he will guide Stellantis through a crucial phase: electrification, global expansion, and adaptation to an increasingly complex regulatory environment.

An experienced leader with an impressive track record

Antonio Filosa is no stranger to the automotive world. A graduate in engineering from Politecnico di Milano and holder of an Executive MBA from Fundação Dom Cabral in Brazil, he brings over 25 years of experience within the Fiat group and later Stellantis. His career began in 1999 at Fiat, where he quickly rose through the ranks: plant director in Betim (Brazil), head of purchasing for Latin America, and later director of the Alfa Romeo and Maserati brands in the same region. From 2018 to 2025, he held key strategic positions such as COO for Latin America, member of the FCA Group executive council, and most recently, CEO of the Jeep® brand.

A clear vision for North America

In addition to his global responsibilities, Filosa is taking direct charge of the North American region and Stellantis’s U.S. brands, including Jeep®, Ram, Chrysler, and Dodge. His mission? Strengthen these brands’ competitiveness in the North American market while accelerating the shift toward high-performance hybrid and electric vehicles designed to meet the needs of families, professionals, and rugged-driving enthusiasts.

Electrification at the core of the strategy

Under Filosa’s leadership, Stellantis plans to ramp up electrification efforts. This means more plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and fully electric (BEV) models, offering greater range, advanced technologies, and competitive pricing. For Quebec drivers—who face harsh winters and sometimes long distances—this strategy comes with concrete solutions: cold-weather-ready batteries, expanded charging infrastructure, and extended warranties.

A commitment to quality and innovation

With his extensive background in global quality management, Filosa is placing innovation and reliability at the forefront. This translates into better-designed vehicles, state-of-the-art onboard technologies, and an enhanced customer experience.

A defining moment for Stellantis and its customers

Antonio Filosa’s arrival as CEO of Stellantis is more than just a leadership change—it marks the start of an ambitious strategy focused on innovation, quality, and electrification. For Trois Diamants customers, this new direction could mean access to vehicles even better suited to Quebec realities, whether tackling snowy winter roads or enjoying premium comfort year-round.
